One charge was accepted, and the offender given a 3 match ban, the other charge was appealed which failed, and the offender given a 5 match ban.

Both incidents were on purpose, I reckon, so I'd say those punishments were about right.

I thought the elbow was 100% deliberate, but the stamp was debatable. I agree that if deliberate, the stamp was worse and deserves a tougher punishment. Mings gambled on appealing, and it backfired.

I said Mings 6 and Zlatan 3 on the day so maybe they have been a bit SOFT on the Minger.
Assume they are both still pleading innocence

I'd say to both of them you have one last chance to admit your guilt. And if you don't your sentence doubles

Mings on Big Nose was very much like Dicks on Spencer those years back. It looks bad, it looks avoidable but no one other than the offender knows if it was deliberate.

Big Nose on Mings was bad and by his own admission, albeit "he jumped in to my elbow"' was deliberate.

So, when bang to rights you get 3 games and when there is doubt you get 4 (the extra was for a frivolous appeal).

Makes sense and no big club bias involved!!!!

the stamp looked pretty deliberate. his stride shortens to land on Ibra's head. Ibra's was also quite deliberate as you can see him make a fist before driving his elbow into him. same thing that got aguero (I think it was him) for the elbow on reid.

It baffles me that some people can't see that what Mings did was 100% intentional.

He definitely deserved a more severe punishment.
